Mace: Origin Ceylon - also called: Nutmeg Flower
Despite its name, the mace has nothing to do with a flower. This is the thin layer surrounding the nutmeg. On a beautiful red color when fresh, mace turns orange when dry. Mace tastes much finer than that of nutmeg and replaces in all its uses.
